Getting Ready for Camp

Helping your child get ready for camp - for the first time, or the fifth time, or even the tenth time - is an exciting time for both of you. We have put together a few resources to help you make camp positive and fun for you and your child.

While these resources are filled with great information, please contact us directly if you have questions, comments or concerns. In more than 60 years of Summer Camp, we have never lost focus on giving campers and parents the best possible experience.

Once registered, you will receive a list of items to bring (and not bring) to camp. These items are important, but so is how you present the camp experience to your child.

First time at camp?
We encourage you and your child to visit camp before the summer.

OPEN HOUSES welcome new families, and are a great way to tour camp and meet the staff.
Join us May 3 or July 5, from 2-4pm each day.
No RSVP is required; call 425 258 5437 if you need driving directions to Killoqua.

SPRING EVENTS are active and fun, and also help kids try out camp with mom or dad nearby:
Earth Day Event - Saturday, April 19
Dad/Youth Overnight - Friday-Saturday, April 25-26
Mom/Youth Overnight - Friday-Saturday, May 2-3
Click here to register for these events.

For tips on preparing you and your camper, visit the American Camp Association (ACA) camp planner pages.  You'll get details on everything from packing to setting a positive tone about camp.  This is a great resource for returning families, too!
