General Sessions & Units
Every week at camp is new and exciting no matter the camper's age or program you register for. Since our staff work with each cabin group to create the session activities, each week is unique. Below are the types of activities and living areas that are typical for campers. Our living units offer a variety of outdoor experiences for campers at each grade level. We strongly recommend coming to one of our open houses so you and your camper can see and experience camp for yourselves! All sessions offer a general camping program that includes cookouts, hiking, creative dramatics, waterfront activities, singing and crafts that are age-appropriate.

GRADES 1-3
Campers live together with their counselor in their own cabin. Activities are camper planned with the aid of their counselor. All sessions offer a general camping program that includes singing, cookouts, hiking, creative dramatics, waterfront activities and crafts. Campers live in either Tapala or Whulje cabin units.

GRADE 4
Sessions include the above list plus outdoor skills, nature awareness, overnights, funyaking and archery. Campers live together with their counselor in either Whulje, a cabin unit, or Salishan, a platform tent unit.

GRADE 5-6
Sessions include the above list plus archery, canoeing, overnights, initiative games, the low ropes course, and for grade six, the climbing wall. Campers live in either Salishan, a platform tent unit or Gypsy, an Adirondack unit.

GRADES 7-8
Sessions offer opportunities to become skilled in outdoor living, archery, small crafts, arts and crafts, swimming, the low and high ropes course, the climbing wall and biking. Campers live in either Tyee, an A-frame tent unit, or Owakna, a cabin unit.

GRADES 9-12
Campers have the chance to experience the high ropes course, the climbing wall, challenging initiative activities, sailing, wind surfing, overnights and archery. Also offered are several tripping, specialty and leadership programs. Campers live in Tyee, an A-frame tent unit, Pioneer, the pole house unit, or the CIT cabin.

Mini Camp
New to staying overnight at camp? Try this shorter session, designed especially for campers who are starting resident camp. In three days, you’ll sample camp activities, meet new friends and caring staff, gain new confidence – and have lots of fun! Open to grades 1-6. (Session 9)

Leadership Programs
Sharpen your skills with children, learn to lead camp activities, and go behind the scenes to see what makes camp happen!
The deadline for 2008 CIT, WIT & DCA applications has passed.  Applications for 2009 programs will be available in January.

DAY CAMP ASSISTANT PROGRAM (Grades 8-12)
Serving as a DCA benefits both campers and you. It’s a great way to volunteer with younger kids, have fun and build skills. Work with staff mentors who coach as you assist with leading a group. New DCAs prepare for their role at camp by attending an important training week session 2.

COUNSELOR IN TRAINING/WRANGLER IN TRAINING PROGRAM (Grades 11-12)
This exciting two-year program trains participants in lifelong leadership skills. If selected, you’ll create lasting friendships as your group lives and learns together for four weeks.

CITs develop their skills leading children— teaching positive behavior and values, listening, heightening creativity and much more. Learn about child development and campers with special needs. Get lots of practice by working directly with younger campers under the mentorship of camp staff.

WITs participate in many CIT activities and also work closely with the wrangler staff. Learn the skills instructors use, such as teaching riding and horse care, developing safe and fun activities, and managing a group of horses.

CIT/WIT 2 is sessions 2-5; CIT/WIT 1 is sessions 6-9.
