Upcoming Projects

High school students have lots of demands on their time ...
HTIA can fit into even the busiest schedules.

This is a youth-focused program where the participants are the leaders.  The group identifies community needs, develops projects and makes them happen.  You can take on different leadership roles, as you choose.  HTIA projects can be diverse: everything from Race For The Cure, to Habitat For Humanity, to assisting with events at Camp Killoqua!

Ages:
Grades 8-12.
Timewise:  One planning session plus one-two service projects each month. Flexible monthly participation.

Who are the adult advisors?  Our volunteer advisors have many years of experience working with young adults, and they’re good at it!  Their role is to support youth participants to be the leaders. The advisors have been through our training and screening process, and also serve to keep participants safe, and make sure all risk management procedures are met.

Where are participants from?  Anywhere in Snohomish County.

How much does it cost?  $17 a year covers membership, dues and all the general program costs.  There are sometimes small additional costs for special events.

What if I can’t attend every meeting or project?   That’s okay, in fact, it’s expected!  You have busy schedules, so come when you can.  Of course, if you’ve made a commitment to a project, you are responsible to follow through – because your participation is very important!
